David Farris

Farris is the author of Mysterious Oklahoma, More Mysterious Oklahoma and in 2005, published a second edition of his 1999 book, Oklahoma Outlaw Tales. His latest book as of August, 2011, is Oklahoma Outlaws, Spooky Stories and All Around Folklore. All titles are available from the Oklahoma Historical Society book store and their web site.

His books were consistently on Border's top 10 local best sellers list. He is also a popular lecturer on such topics as Oklahoma mysteries, folklore and outlaws (see You Tube and News9.com); and has been the subject of more than 30 articles and broadcast interviews.
Farris is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma earning a B.A. in Communication.

Since the early 1990s, Farris has collected tales of Oklahoma Outlaws and the state's spooky past. In September of 1995, he realized the dream of publishing his first book.

David A. Farris was a featured speaker at such varied events from the Red Dirt Book Festival in Shawnee to the International UFO Museum at Roswell, New Mexico.
In addition to being a popular lecturer, Farris has been featured in many TV and radio interviews, and more than 30 articles. He has written for True west Magazine, Norman Living and Edmond Life and Leisure.
