list. He is also
a popular
lecturer on such topics as Oklahoma
mysteries, folklore and outlaws;
and has been the
subject of more
than 30 articles and broadcast interviews.
Farris is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma earning a B.A. in

David Farris is a native Oklahoman and graduate of Bishop McGuinness High School and the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Communications.
Since the early 1990s, he collected tales of Oklahoma outlaws and the state’s spooky past.
He is the author of three books: Mysterious Oklahoma, More Mysterious Oklahoma and Oklahoma Outlaw Tales. All titles are available through the Oklahoma Historical Society and the Oklahoma Department of Tourism in addition to most book stores.
Farris says, “
My objective is to present a series of lectures for the Metro Oklahoma City Library System discussing:
Oklahoma Outlaw Tales,
Mysterious Oklahoma, eerie true tales from the Sooner State and
Self Publishing.”
He was a featured speaker at such varied events from the Red Dirt Book Festival in Shawnee to the International UFO Museum at Roswell, New Mexico.
In addition to being a popular lecturer, Farris has been featured in many TV and radio interviews, and more than 30 articles. He has written for True west Magazine, Norman Living and Edmond Life and Leisure.
